New Pandemic Restrictions

New provincial restrictions. Some mass sign-ups deleted.

On May 4, 2021 the Province of Alberta announced its strictest mandatory pandemic restrictions to date,
backed by a doubling of fines for non-compliance.

Effective immediately,
“Faith services are limited to 15 in-person attendees”,
including the pastor.
“These restrictions will be in place for at least 3 weeks and will be extended if necessary.”

This posed a problem:
Some masses in the coming weekend were oversubscribed under the new rules.

Some signups had to be deleted.
The SignUpGenius system includes a signup timestamp, enabling us to use a first-come-first-served method.

Everyone whose mass signup had to be deleted has received a phone call.

Everyone was very patient and understanding. Thank-you to all!

If you did not receive a phone call, you should be still registered for mass.

However, check your signup!
If you are not absolutely sure, call the parish office to confirm.

Please note, under the new restrictions, there are no “Cleaner” volunteer positions.
Attendees are expected to participate in disinfecting the church after mass.

The current attendance rules are very strict. Please do not “just show up” for mass.
